Perez believes Mourinho's appointment could even be confirmed as early as Monday by the Blues which would tie in with earlier reports supposedly released in error by the Premier League on their official website.
The 66-year-old made his claims after being re-elected as Real's president on Sunday morning for another four years, and despite a trophyless season in charge of the Spanish giants, he has wished the self-proclaimed 'Special One' well in his next job.
Perez told Sky Sports News: "Mourinho is going to Chelsea.
"Probably on Monday he will be their new manager. We wish him good luck."
Real confirmed Mourinho's exit from the Bernabeu in May, fuelling rumours that the Portuguese coach would be returning to England to succeed Rafael Benitez in the Chelsea hot-seat.
Ironically, another former Blues boss Carlo Ancelotti is the man Perez wants to replace Mourinho in Madrid but prizing him away from big spending Paris Saint-German is proving tricky despite the Italian's interest in the post.
