Terry optimisic ahead of United clash

John Terry believes Chelsea can throw the title race wide open by beating Manchester United at Stamford Bridge on Tuesday night.

The Blues will start the game in fifth place in the table 15 points behind United with a game in hand, while Sir Alex Ferguson's side restored their four-point lead at the top with a 4-0 win at Wigan on Saturday.

United have still only lost one game this season but Terry believes that Chelsea can make life difficult for the teams at the top of the Premier League table.

The Chelsea captain said: "It's a must-win game. We've got a good record against them, especially at home, which we want to continue.

"If we beat United it puts pressure on them and other teams around us."
