Treble absence for Chelsea

Chelsea are missing N'Golo Kante, Alvaro Morata and Danny Drinkwater for Saturday's Premier League clash with Crystal Palace.

Kante is set for three weeks out with the hamstring problem he suffered while playing for France during the international break, but there is encouraging news on Morata, who could recover from his own hamstring injury in time to face Roma in midweek.

Summer signing Drinkwater is yet to play since joining from Leicester and boss Antonio Conte has said he will remain patient as the 27-year-old works his way back from a calf problem.

He is expected to be out for a further three weeks, meaning Conte could again select an inexperienced bench.

Academy graduates Kyle Scott and Ethan Ampadu are both being tipped for a place in the squad while David Luiz is available after suspension.

Michy Batshuayi is also in line to start up front in Morata's absence although Conte may favour a more fluid front line involving Pedro, Willian and Eden Hazard.

Provisional squad: Courtois, Caballero, Rudiger, Alonso, Fabregas, Hazard, Pedro, Bakayoko, Moses, Kenedy, Musonda, Zappacosta, Willian, Batshuayi, Cahill, Christensen, Azpilicueta, Clarke-Salter, Scott, Ampadu, Eduardo.
