Hampshire chairman blasts ECB
Hampshire chairman Rod Bransgrove says the ECB needs to "take a look at itself" after the departures of captain and coach this week.
Kevin Pietersen, who plays County cricket with Hampshire, resigned as England captain following a long running dispute with coach Peter Moores, who was sacked on the same day.
Andrew Strauss has been named as the Pietersen's replacement and will lead the team, which still includes Pietersen, on the forthcoming tour of the West Indies.
Bransgrove told the BBC: "The ECB have to ask why we have had this debacle in the English team.
"They also have to ask why we are no longer at the top table of world cricket."
Bransgrove added that Pietersen's resignation from the England captaincy would not affect his position at Hampshire.
