Heerenveen snare Albion starlet

St Mirren midfielder Anders Dreyer believes the William Hill Scottish Cup offers a good chance for the club to kick-start their league form.

Heerenveen signed Anders Dreyer on a season-long loan from Premier League club Brighton.

The winger joined Brighton from Danish outfit Esbjerg last year but is yet to make a senior appearance for Albion and spent the latter half of last season at St Mirren, where he managed one goal in 10 Scottish Premiership appearances.

Dreyer has little chance of breaking into the Brighton team this season so the club have allowed him to spend the season on loan in the Netherlands with Heerenveen.

The 21-year-old winger has been capped at various youth levels by Denmark and will be hoping to gain further first team experience during his time with the Dutch club.
