Ajax handed Tadic boost

Ajax's teenage left-back Mitchel Bakker's move to Paris Saint-Germain on a four-year deal has finally been confirmed.

Dusan Tadic should be available for Ajax on Saturday despite concerns over a hamstring injury.

Tadic played the full 90 minute for Serbia on Saturday and assisted both of their goals in a 4-2 Euro 2020 qualifying defeat at home to Portugal.

The forward has now returned to Amsterdam due to a hamstring problem and will miss the clash with Luxembourg on Tuesday amid fears he may face a stint on the sidelines.

However, his agent Milos Malenovic has told Dutch publication De Telegraaf the injury is not serious.

Ajax entertain Heerenveen on Saturday and it appears Tadic will be fit as the Eredivisie returns following the international break.

“It is an overloaded muscle, nothing serious,” said Malenovic. “Dusan let the game against Luxembourg pass him by precaution because he does not want to take any risks.

“There will be many matches with Ajax in the coming weeks. So he has made this decision in consultation with the national coach [Ljubisa Tumbakovic]. He is now going to Amsterdam to be treated and is ready for the next duels with Ajax.”
