Ajax facing Ziyech battle

Liverpool have been alerted to the possible availability of Ajax forward Hakim Ziyech for only around £30million this summer.

Ajax are facing a battle on their hands to keep hold of Hakim Ziyech with Tottenham thought to be interested in the talented playmaker.

Former FC Twente star Ziyech has been impressing with his efforts in the Eredivisie and was once again a standout performer as Ajax secured a 4-0 victory over Utrecht on Sunday.

Ajax managed to bounce back from a disappointing 4-4 draw at Chelsea, having led the Blues 4-1 in the Champions League encounter at Stamford Bridge in midweek.

Dutch international Donny van de Beek bagged himself a brace at the Johan Cruyff Arena before former Southampton star Dusan Tadic struck to make it 3-0.

Ziyech capped off another strong individual display with an assist for the final goal of the match, as his corner kick found Lisandro Martinez who headed the ball home.

Admirers of Ziyech have been growing over recent seasons and Spurs have long been linked with a move for the talented Morocco international.

Tottenham have often done their shopping at Ajax, having signed the likes of Christian Eriksen, Davinson Sanchez and Jan Vertonghen from the Dutch champions in the past.

With six goals and 15 assists so far this season, Ziyech is enjoying another fine campaign and Spurs could look to make a move for the 26-year-old in January or next summer, as they look to bolster their attacking options at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
