Feynoord ace eyes Gers scalp

Feyenoord teenager Orkun Kokcu is being watched by Paris Saint-Germain, who could rival Arsenal in the race to sign the midfielder.

Feyenoord youngster Orkun Kokcu has warned Steven Gerrard’s Rangers side they will be going all out for a result in Thursday’s Europa League clash.

Turkish playmaker Kokcu is part of an exciting Feyenoord side who head to Ibrox on Thursday night for their Europa League match and he says Japp Stam’s side will not be there just for the fun of it, admitting the Rotterdam side will be going all out to get a positive result from the game.

He said: “I can promise we won’t go to Ibrox to sit back and defend. Our aim is to get the three points and to do that we have to attack.

“I believe we are improving as a team every week. We have a lot of belief and we are full of confidence ahead of playing Rangers.

“The manager wants us to play in a certain way and that’s been reflected in the way we have been playing recently.

Rangers are a club with a great history – they are a top team in Scotland, but it’s about how we play there.

“If we play our own game and not worry about the opposition we have a great chance.

“Although it’s obviously not a must-win game at this stage, if we want to qualify, these are the types of matches that we should be going all out to get the three points.”
