Klich returns to Holland

Leeds midfielder Mateusz Klich has agreed to join Eredivisie side Utrecht on loan following a torrid time in England.

The 27-year-old signed up for Leeds over the summer in a deal worth £1.5million from FC Twente. However, he failed to settle into life at Elland Road.

Klich has started just one Championship game for the Yorkshire outfit and reports claim that he wants a permanent move away in the summer.

Utrecht have managed to agree a deal to secure his services for the meantime on loan until the end of the season, although his current contract isn’t set to expire until 2020.

The Poland international, who is desperate to force his way back into contention ahead of the 2018 World Cup, believes he can get his career back on track in Holland.

Klich said: “I just want to play football. I haven’t played much in England so I’ve come back to Holland.”
