The 19-year-old Brazilian joined the Chelsea youth ranks in 2011 before making his first-team debut a year later, but he has made only three appearances for the Blues to date.

He returned to Stamford Bridge over the summer but Jose Mourinho made it clear soon after his arrival that he would be sent out on loan for the entire season.
