Chong rejected approaches from Eredivisie duo
Manchester United starlet Tahith Chong reportedly turned down loan approaches from PSV Eindhoven and Feyenoord in the summer.
The winger, who can also operate as an attacking midfielder, was part of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s squad for their pre-season tour of Asia and Europe.
He made appearances in their wins against Perth Glory, Leeds United and Tottenham, and has been earmarked as a big player for the future.
However, with several attacking players on the books already including new signing Dan James, Anthony Martial, Marcus Rashford and Jesse Lingard, it appears chances could be limited for Chong this season.
PSV and Feyenoord were both understood to have made offers to take him back to his homeland on a season-long loan deal.
However, the player wants to remain at Old Trafford and fight for his place in the side, according to his agent Erkan Alkan.
“Tahith does not want to be loaned, but wants to fight for his chance at Manchester United,” he said.
“Top clubs from the Bundesliga and La Liga also have him in sight.
“He has done a strong preparation [for the season], in which he has proven to be one of the better attackers of United.”
