The 21-year-old joined Ajax last summer for £3.8million from Atletico Nacional in his homeland of Colombia and he forced his way into the first team on a regular basis.
Sanchez penned a five-year deal with the Dutch giants but he could be leaving Amsterdam after just one campaign under his belt.
Reports claim that Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino is keen to strengthen his backline with Sanchez, who is also understood to be on Barcelona’s radar.
It’s understood that they will lodge an initial offer of 40million euros as they look to make their first signing of the summer transfer window.
However, Ajax are hopeful of keeping hold of the youngster and director of football Marc Overmars insists a new deal is on the table.
Overmars said: "Ajax has made Davinson a top offer for a new contract."
