England hopes for defender

Everton defender Leon Osman has not given up on his dream of making it into Roy Hodgson's England squad for the 2014 World Cup.
The 31-year-old won his first England cap last November in the friendly defeat to Sweden and then appeared again in the win over San Marino but he has not featured since.
Osman shoved himself back into the limelight last weekend when he scored one and made one in the win over Aston Villa in front of the watching England coach and he has not given up hope of being on the plane to Brazil next summer.
"I couldn't have asked for much more," said Osman. "I was involved in the first goal and I scored the second, so it's pleasing when games go like that.
"I didn't know Roy Hodgson was here. I was concentrating on the match.
"Obviously, I'm English and I'm still wanting to play. If the call came I'd be delighted but I'm not going to get too carried away with things that aren't taking place on the pitch."I've got two caps. I wouldn't say I'd be satisfied to finish with that because you want to get as many as you can. I'm still playing in the top flight and there's a big competition coming in the summer, so if there's a chance for you to go then you try and take it."
