The vow from the Belgium star will be like music to the ears of boss Roberto Martinez as he landed Lukaku on a season-long loan in the summer and he has already found the back of the net four times in as many appearances.
The 20-year-old spent last season at West Brom but decided on another loan when it became clear he was not going to feature regularly under Jose Mourinho this season.
He now he wants to fire more goals for Everton than Stamford Bridge strikers Fernando Torres, Demba Ba and Samuel Eto'o to show the Portuguese he made a mistake in allowing him to leave.
He said: "The manager makes his decisions and I have to respect them, so I chose to go out on loan.
"I chose to leave and it's up to me to prove the coach wrong.
"The only thing I can do is play well and score a lot and then I think people will say that I'm a good player.
"I want to score more goals than all the strikers currently at Chelsea. We will see at the end of the season who made the best choice.
"I hope my goals will help Everton finish higher than Chelsea."
