Moyes targets defender deal

Everton boss David Moyes is reportedly lining up a £3million bid for Manchester United defender Wes Brown.

United are ready to sell Brown in the summer following the arrival of Phil Jones from Blackburn and Sunderland are believed to have already made a move for the 31-year-old.

However, Brown is set to reject the advances of Sunderland as he is keen to remain in the north west.

Blackburn have been credited with an interest, although reports linking Bolton appear to be wide of the mark, but Everton are leading the chase for his signature, where Brown would link up with former United team-mate Phil Neville.
