The world number one finally broke his major duck in 2016 at the US Open and has made a strong start to 2017, winning both the Genesis Open and the inaugural WGC event in Mexico.
He has chosen to take the last few weeks off but is now gearing up for a stretch which will see him feature at the WGC Match Play and the Houston Open before heading to Augusta for the first major of the season.
Johnson admits his confidence levels are high heading into the meat of the season and believes that he is only going to improve.
He told the Guardian: "I feel like my game is in very good shape. Starting the beginning of last year, it has felt really solid and it hasn't really let up any. I've got a lot of confidence in the game.
"I feel like I'm controlling my ball very well and I feel I'm starting to drive a little straighter. If I can drive it straight, I'm going to play well every week. I'm going to continue to work hard, continue to try to get better, but I think right now everything is working pretty well."
