Paul McGinley says he has no issues with the European Ryder Cup team having six rookies in its ranks for Hazeltine.
Danny Willett, Andy Sullivan, Chris Wood, Matt Fitzpatrick, Rafa Cabrera-Bello and Thomas Pieters make up the players who are yet to sample the pressures of playing in the prestigious event.
Former Ryder Cup skipper McGinley, who led Europe to victory over the USA at Gleneagles in 2014, does not feel a lack of experience in the competition for six of the players will be a problem for current captain Darren Clarke.
He told Sky Sports: "The term 'rookie' is one that I'm not comfortable with these days. They are all experienced players, they've all won big tournaments, and they have all performed on the big stage - most notably Danny Willett winning the Masters earlier this year.
"Darren's team is also in great form. They are young, vibrant and they will not be intimidated by the atmosphere of a Ryder Cup in the United States."
