Paisley takes ons-shot lead in SA

England's Chris Paisley has a one-shot lead over home favourite Branden Grace after three rounds of the BMW SA Open.

Paisley carded a two-under-par 70 to move to 15-under after 54 holes but he has the South African ace breathing down his neck after the world number 30 signed a for a six-under-par 66 at Glendower Golf Club.

Three players are a further two strokes behind Grace on -12, with Frenchman Adrien Saddier, American Chase Koepka and Jacques Blaauw of South Africa all locked together on that mark.

Another home player, Darren Fichardt, sits in sixth on -11 after a 64 while compatriots Jacques Kruyswijk and Trevor Fisher Junior have joined Denmark's Jeff Winther on -10.

Paisley is the man they will all have to catch on Sunday, however, and the 31-year-old from Hexham is relishing the chance of going into unknown territory on his partner's home patch.

"Being tied for the lead isn't a position I've been in a lot," he said. "I'm really proud with how I've played, I felt really calm and never really felt stressed.

"Obviously playing with Gracie [in the final round], who's won God knows how many times on Tour and obviously is a great player, and in his home country. I'm sure the crowd is going to be on his side. I'm just really excited about it."
