Fabrizio Zanotti produced a stunning final round to secure a one-shot victory at the Maybank Championship on Sunday.
The Paraguayan started the day six shots off the lead, but carded a nine-under par 63 to finish on 19-under-par for the tournament and claim his second victory on the European Tour.
The 33-year-old's round included seven birdies and an eagle at the last and he described his performance as the best of his career to date.
"I think it was probably the best round of my career, so I’m very happy," he said. "It was a really good day, a really good week and I’m really happy."
The world number 187 had missed his three previous cuts on the European Tour and admitted it was a relief to not only return to form, but secure his first success since his triumph at the BMW International Open in June 2014.
"It feels really good to be a winner again," he added. "I’ve been working a lot and I was not in my best run of form, missing three cuts in a row, but that’s in the past and today I’m a winner again and it feels great."
American David Lipsky finished as Zanotti's nearest rival on 18-under after he carded a score of 67, while Austrian Bernd Wiesberger finished a shot further back.
Overnight leader Danny Willett endured a round to forget however, as he carded a one-over-par score of 73 to eventually finish in a tie for fifth, four shots behind Zanotti.
