Carss leaves coaching role

Huddersfield have confirmed that former player Tony Carss has left his role as head of coaching in the club’s Academy.

The 41-year-old, who made 80 league appearances for the Terriers scoring three goals between 2003 and 2006, joined the Yorkshire outfit as a part-time coach in 2007 and was promoted to professional development coach in 2012.

He worked alongside Frankie Bunn until taking over as head professional development coach and working with the Under-18s when Bunn became senior development coach.

Further promotion came last year when he took over the post of head of coaching.

A statement on the club's official website outlined the club’s gratitude for his services as both a player and a coach but there is no word of his future career plans.
