Keane focused on overcoming serious knee injury

Hull City's Will Keane has admitted that he is still trying to remain positive as he continues to recover from long-term injuries.

The former Manchester United youngster has been plagued by injuries for many years and he suffered another one last season.

Keane has played just five games for the Tigers since his move to the KCOM Stadium after needing a full reconstruction of his anterior cruciate ligament in November.

His career at Hull has yet to really start and the 24-year-old admits he is trying his best to stay positive in what is a difficult time.

He told the Hull Daily Mail: "I know this season is a write-off. You just have to be patient. I do my best to take it in my stride. As horrible as it was, I try and just get on with it.

"It was more my friends and family. They were gutted for me because they know how hard I'd worked in the past to overcome injuries and now they're going through it all again. All I can do is look to get back fit and put all this behind me.

"I keep telling myself that I'm still young, I train hard and do all the right things. You'd like to think that's going to pay off at some point. Then hopefully I can have 10 or 15 years playing without any injuries."
