Brentford forward Scott Hogan has dismissed recent talk of an international call-up and insists he is focused on his domestic football.
The 24-year-old returned to action at the end of last season after missing almost two campaigns due to a couple of anterior cruciate ligament injuries.
Hogan has been in fine form since returning for the Bees, netting 13 goals in 15 appearances, while he bagged a hat-trick against Preston on Saturday.
The forward was born in England but is eligible to represent the Republic of Ireland, however, he insists his full focus is currently on doing the business for Brentford.
Hogan said: “International honours is a big thing but there’s only one place I want to play my football at the minute and that is here.
“They look after me, monitor my fitness and everything. Due to that I’ve played every minute this season which is come going after what happened.”
