Kambolov issues domination warning to Scots

Russia defender Ruslan Kambolov has warned Scotland that they will look to be aggressive and "dominate" Friday's Euro 2020 qualifier at Hampden Park.

Stanislav Cherchesov’s side arrive in Glasgow sitting three points ahead of the Tartan Army in Group I after the opening four matches of qualifying.

A victory would massively boost their chances of qualifying for next summer’s tournament alongside Belgium, who look on course to win the group.

Steve Clarke’s men can move level with the Russians if they pick up a much-needed win, but Kambolov is adamant that they will play like the home side and go all out for the maximum points.

The Krasnodar stopper said: “Scotland are playing in their own stadium with a big support so I’m sure they will take confidence from that.

“However, we are not going to Glasgow thinking like guests – we want to dominate and play like it was our home match.

“I think that is the best way to play and we have belief that is the best game-plan.

“We are not even thinking about the draw. Our task is to play aggressively, take control and win the match.”

Punters can use their free bet to back Russia to secure a vital win against the Scots on Friday.
