The Romanian hitman, who has bagged four goals in seven starts this season, started his first league game since mid-October when Deportivo drew 1-1 with Villarreal last weekend.
Speculation had been rife that Andone, who scored his side’s 84th-minute equaliser at El Madrigal, would be leaving the Galician club in the current transfer window, but it seems the intervention of the club president has stopped any departure.
“Yes, there were offers, but now I do not know if there are any,” he told reporters after training on Thursday.
“I do not want to leave – what I want is to play. I cannot be happy if I do not play. And when you’re in a situation like this it makes you think, because the club had offers.
“But I will continue, there is no doubt. We all want to stay and hopefully there will be many more years here.”.
