The France forward has been a star performer since joining Diego Simeone’s side from Real Sociedad in 2014, scoring 50 goals in 87 La Liga appearances.
The 25-year-old’s impressive performances have seen him be linked with a move to a number of clubs from across Europe, but he insists one team he would never join is city neighbours Real, as there is a pact between the two sides that means they will not engage in direct transfer activity.
“It’s true that I love to win titles…but I couldn’t go to Real Madrid, not with the rivalry that exists and there’s also a pact between the clubs,” Griezmann explained in an interview with Telefoot.
Griezmann insists he is happy to remain with Atleti for the foreseeable future, although he would be open to a move to the Premier League at some stage in his career.
He added: “Right now I feel great at Atletico, my goal is not to leave Atletico immediately. PSG are an interesting team but I don’t want to play in Ligue 1, I prefer it here in Spain or in the Premier League.”
