Having left Barcelona after eight seasons, the Brazil international spent one campaign with Juve before opting to move to the Parc des Princes in the summer of 2017.
The right-back has made 13 Ligue 1 appearances to date and impressed with his skill and work-rate despite his advancing years.
The 34-year-old is loving life in the French capital and confessed the transition was far smoother than he anticipated.
"I'm very happy with how things have gone until now. Everything's good and things are moving in the right direction," he told beIN Sports.
"I thought it would be a lot harder to settle in here. I think what helped me was being surrounded by really good friends and I think that's helped me on and off the pitch, and also in a more general sense.
"They've helped me to understand the club's philosophy, the ambitions here and the club's history, the road it travelled to get where it is. Those friends have enlightened me."
