Paris Saint-Germain boss Unai Emery insists Thiago Silva's injury is not serious after he was forced off against SC Bastia on Saturday.

The Brazil international opened the scoring with a header on the half-hour mark at the Parc des Princes as he helped his side on their way to a sublime 7-0 win, with debutant Julian Draxler also scoring.

Silva then suffered an injury after colliding with goalkeeper Kevin Trapp as the two went to clear the ball to be replaced by Presnel Kimpembe but Emery insists he should return to training in the coming days.

He told reporters: “He asked to come off after taking a knock to the thigh. I don’t think it’s very serious and I think he will be available in the coming days.”

Silva has made 14 appearances in Ligue 1 this season and will be determined to feature on Wednesday night when PSG take on Metz in the Coupe de la Ligue.
