Bordeaux defender Frederic Guilbert has committed his future to the club by signing a two-year contract extension.
The France Under-21 international originally joined Les Girondins from lower league outfit Cherbourg in the summer of 2014 and he has since established himself as a regular at the Nouveau Stade de Bordeaux, making 46 appearances in all competitions.
The 21-year-old, who can operate at right back or in the centre of defence, has made three appearances in Ligue 1 so far this season, although he is currently sidelined with a broken nose.
The youngster's new deal will see him remain with Jocelyn Gourvennec's side until the summer of 2019, and he will be hoping to help the club build on their strong start to the new season, as FCGB currently sit fourth in the Ligue 1 standings, just two points off the top of the table.
