Lille mull Biesla replacements

Le Championnat

It seems as if Lille are ready to call time on Marcelo Bielsa's tenure as French reports claim they are looking for alternatives.

Les Dogues overcame Toulouse 1-0 on Saturday but they remain in danger in Ligue 1 as they sit just two points clear of the relegation places, having moved ahead of their opponents at the weekend thanks to that victory.

Bielsa only took charge of Lille in May but the club are understood to be ready to make a change after a poor start to the season and a number of names have emerged as potential successors.

Oscar Garcia, who recently left Ligue 1 rivals Saint-Etienne, Martimo boss Daniel Ramos and former France and Paris Saint-Germain manager Laurent Blanc have all been tipped to replace Bielsa by reports in France and Andre Villas-Boas has now been linked.

Former Chelsea and Tottenham manager Villas-Boas is without a club after leaving China’s Shanghai SIPG but the fact he has decided to enter the Dakar Rally in January could prove to be a stumbling block.
