Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas has claimed two Premier League clubs made bids of around £50m for Alexandre Lacazette this summer.

Ligue 1: Lyon rejected £50m for Lacazette - Aulas

Lacazette was targeted by several outfits in the transfer window after an eye-catching season in 2015-16 during which he scored 23 goals in 44 games, with West Ham and Arsenal likely to be the two English sides who made formal offers.
It was widely reported that the Hammers had an offer of just over £40m turned down, while Arsenal were claimed to have seen a bid of around £30m rejected.

Now Aulas has said there were two higher offers submitted that the French club turned down.
Speaking to Italian newspaper Tuttosport, Aulas said: "This summer, we rejected 55m euros (£49.7m) for Lacazette from two Premier League clubs."
