Monaco prepared to cash in on Fabinho

Le Championnat

Monaco are prepared to sell Fabinho in January, which could spark a bidding war across Europe.

The Ligue 1 champions saw a number of star names depart during the summer but managed to hold on to Fabinho, despite interest from Manchester United.

French reports now claim Monaco are willing to allow the 23-year-old Brazil international to move on in January and have set an asking price of 60million euros [£53.6m].

United are likely to launch a fresh move for the midfielder, who can also play at right-back, but they will face competition as Juventus and Paris Saint-Germain have also been mooted as potential suitors.

As such, Monaco could receive a higher fee than their reported asking price if two or more clubs decide to battle for Fabinho in the winter window.
