Ntep keeping options open

Paul-Georges Ntep insists he is open to a move away from Rennes in January if he is not offered a new contract at the club.

The 24-year-old joined Rennes from Auxerre in January 2014 and has scored 16 Ligue 1 goals from 59 appearances for Les Rouges et Noirs.

The France international is in the final year of his contract at Roazhon Park and has been informed by the club that they want to see him stay.

“The president told me this summer that he wanted me to extend and I stay one more year to help the club, and especially to find my level, regain confidence,” he told French channel beIN Sports.

“He said he was 100% behind me. Today, nothing is signed. I have not been distracted because I leave that to my agent and I do not worry.”

However, with Southampton, Lyon and Lazio said to be keen, the talented winger admits his options are open.

“If I have to continue, I will stay,” he added. “If I have to leave in January, I will leave in January. I’m open to all possibilities.”
