Fabregas tips Mbappe for the top

Paris Saint Germain
PSG forward Kylian Mbappe does not want to sign a new contract with the club, according to reports.

Monaco midfielder Cesc Fabregas believes Paris Saint-Germain striker Kylian Mbappe has the potential to be the best player in the world.

Former Barcelona, Arsenal and Chelsea playmaker Fabregas has had the chance to see Mbappe up close, having made the switch to Monaco back in January.

The Spaniard has been impressed with what he’s see from the French World Cup winner, and feels the 20-year-old has all the attributes to become the best in the game.

“He’s a phenomenon. He’s clearly going to be the best player in the world in the future,” Fabregas said.

“I always think like a midfielder, and if I had him in front of me I’d be giving him assists all the time because he’s so fast, explosive, but he’s also very clever in slipping his markers.

“He has his timing down perfectly. [Thierry] Henry and Diego Costa were also brilliant at that.

“The thing that stands out about Mbappe is that he’s so hungry. He knows how to exploit his ability.”
