PSG and Barca still talking says Neymar’s father
Paris Saint-Germain and Barcelona are still talking regards a possible move for Neymar, the Brazilian's father has claimed.
Despite a summer of speculation linking Neymar with a move away from Paris, the transfer window came and went without a deal being struck.
The failure to complete a move back to Barcelona did not go down well with the player, who is said to be disappointed to say the least.
However, it has not taken long for talk to turn to the January transfer window, and the player’s father Neymar da Silva, says talks have not stopped between the two clubs.
“The negotiations between clubs are not over,” Da Silva explained at the Edinburgh Sports Conference, according to Sport.
“A Brazilian only wants to be where he is happy. And he was very happy (in Barcelona ). When his friends (from Barca) asked him if he would want to return, this moved him.”
Barca president Josep Maria Bartomeu admitted that the Catalans did all they could to land Neymar in the summer, but it wasn’t to be as PSG drove a hard bargain.

Bartomeu has also ruled out the prospect of Neymar joining Barca in the January window, saying it is not possible, so it looks as though he will have to stick out the season with PSG.
Real Madrid are also in the hunt and PSG would have been willing to sell to Barca’s arch rivals had the deal been right for them.
It remains to be seen if Los Blancos will make a fresh move when the window re-opens.
