Icardi desperate for PSG stay
Mauro Icardi says he will do everything in his power to earn a permanent deal with Paris Saint-Germain after impressing while on loan.
The Argentina international joined the Parisians on a season-long loan deal from Inter Milan in the summer and has taken to life in Paris like a duck to water.
He has already fired home seven goals in eight appearances in all competitions and looks to have got his career back on track following a troubled time with Inter.
New Inter coach Antonio Conte made it clear the striker was not in his plans, and he has responded by putting in some sparkling performances for Thomas Tuchel’s side.
PSG do have the option to buy him for £60million and Icardi has vowed to do all he can to convince the club to pay it.

“We’ll see at the end of the season if I stay, Icardi told RMC Sport. “I want to do good things, I’ve come for that, obviously playing for a team like PSG is very important, it’s one of the best teams in the world.
“It’s a great step in my career. I will do everything to stay here.”
There has been talk of other clubs being alerted to his form and making a move, but Icardi is loving life in Paris and staying where he is would be the preferred option.
Icardi is also hoping to get the chance to link up with Edinson Cavani, who is battling back from injury.
“Edi and I are two strikers, we like to score goals, we can play together if the coach decides, but it’s not up to us to make that decision. In the end, it’s the coach who decides, that’s his job,” he added.
