The 26-year-old started his career with Metz and impressed Lyon scouts before joining the French giants in 2008.
He was then snapped up by Roma for 11 million euros, staying with the Italians for five years and making 159 appearances.
Pjanic joined Juventus on a five-year deal earlier this summer and has now admitted that PSG nearly lured him away a couple of years ago.
He told France Football: "It was really close [a PSG transfer] in the winter [of January 2014]. However, we were fighting for the title with Roma.
"The contacts were concrete. I got a final call from Walter Sabatini [Roma's former director of football], though, and he said to me, 'Mire, even for 50 million euros, you are not going nowhere!'"
