Sidibe had the opportunity to join Arsenal last summer but the right-back, who can also play on the opposite flank, rejected the chance to move to the Premier League.
It has proven to be a good choice for the 24-year-old, with Monaco currently topping Ligue 1 by three points, while the Gunners are facing a huge battle just to finish in the top four.
The France international, who has six caps for the national side, has made 24 league appearances this season while enjoying 10 outings in the Champions League.
Sidibe is quickly becoming one of the most sought-after full-backs across Europe and Vasilyev is adamant the star man warrants a move to one of the leading clubs.
He told RMC: "Djibril Sidibe preferred Monaco to Arsenal, now he is in the French national team, and he can join the top European clubs. He deserves it."
