The Brazil international could become a free agent at the end of this season, although his current contract with the French champions does contain a 12-month extension clause that will be activated should PSG qualify for the Champions League.
With the Parisians having won the Ligue 1 title for the past four seasons, it is expected that they will retain their Champions League spot, although that may not stopped Silva looking for a new club.
The defender’s representative, Paulo Tonietto, says the former AC Milan star would be reluctant to leave but claims it is an option he will be exploring should he not get the new contract he wants by December.
“It’s very important for everyone, for us and for PSG, that things are clear in December,” Tonietto told Le Parisien. “If PSG don’t wish to make an offer of an extension between now and then, we’ll have to think about leaving. We already have offers from three or four big clubs.”
Napoli have parted company with head coach Maurizio Sarri and replaced him with Carlo Ancelotti, fuelling rumours of a move to Chelsea.
