Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Marco Verratti has admitted he does not want to leave the club until he wins the Champions League.

The 23-year-old joined the club in 2012 from Pescara after playing 74 games for the Italian club.

He has since become one of the best midfielders in Europe and has been linked with a move away from PSG.

Verratti is expected to start on Wednesday night in the Champions League against Basel, and the Italy international has now admitted he does not want to leave until he wins the competition.

He told Le Figaro: “Generally, I think of leaving when I do not feel good at a club. I am part of a project, which began just before I arrived. I really want to win the Champions League with this club before leaving. That is my challenge and I am stubborn with these things.”
