Rovers spend big on agents’ fees

Blackburn Rovers

Blackburn spent more than B£3.5million on agents' fees last season, almost double any other club in the Sky Bet Championship.

According to figures published by the Football League on Friday morning Rovers, who finished 17th, committed a whopping B£3,538,034 to agents.

The next biggest spenders were champions Cardiff, who forked out B£1,836,193, while second-placed Hull spent B£929,535 and Crystal Palace, who were promoted via the play-offs, B£1,345,913.

While that could be seen as money well spent Wolves, who were relegated, spent the third-highest total of B£1,676,300.

Blackpool, who currently top the table, were the only team in the division not to hand any money to agents last season.
