Leeds forward Mallik Wilks joins Doncaster on loan

Doncaster Rovers

Leeds have announced teenage forward Mallik Wilks will spend the first half of next season on loan at Doncaster.

Wilks, 19, who won a Sky Bet League Two winners medal with Accrington last season, will stay with Doncaster until January.

‘Leeds United can confirm Mallik Wilks has (on Wednesday) joined Sky Bet League One side Doncaster Rovers on loan until January 2,’ Leeds said.

‘Wilks enjoyed two loan spells last season, making 24 appearances for Accrington Stanley and picking up a League Two winners medal in the process, before joining Grimsby Town in January.’

Wilks has made just one senior appearance for Leeds after progressing through their academy, in an FA Cup defeat at Sutton in January 2017.
