Woods: We can pull away

Doncaster Rovers

Doncaster midfielder Martin Woods believes just a small run of results could see his side climb out of the bottom three.

Rovers are five points adrift of safety in the npower Championship table and they have been incumbents of the bottom three since mid-October.

But the 26-year-old knows things can change quickly due to the unpredictable nature of the division.

“It will be massive to get out of the bottom three, we have been in there for so long,” he said. “It is a long way until we get out of there, so there is a lot of work to be done.

“We have to go into every game battling and it will cost the club a lot of money if we go down so there is a lot riding on it.

“We all know if you go on a run in this league you can find yourselves in a lot better position. You can get momentum and start looking above you instead of below you.”
