Norwood in line for debut

Coventry City

Oliver Norwood comes into the reckoning for his Coventry debut at home to Ipswich.

The talented midfielder arrived on loan from Manchester United on transfer deadline day and will be hoping to get the chance to impress as the rock bottom Sky Blues go in search of a fourth consecutive home league win.

Full-back Hermann Hreidarsson dislocated his shoulder prior to his unfortunate role in Blackpool’s equaliser in midweek and, despite carrying on for the closing stages, faces a late assessment.

Midfielder Conor Thomas, who bagged City’s opener in the heartbreaking last-gasp 2-1 defeat, was forced off in the closing stages with an adductor problem and is unlikely to feature.

Defender Chris Hussey (ankle) is set to return to training next week while Cody McDonald (knee) continues to miss out.

Ipswich arrive at the Ricoh Arena just three places above the drop zone but full of confidence having brushed aside league leaders West Ham 5-1 on Tuesday to clinch their first win in eight games.
