Forest Green wait on Christian Doidge for Notts County game

Forest Green Rovers

Forest Green are sweating on top scorer Christian Doidge for the visit of Notts County.

Doidge, who has bagged 21 goals in 42 games this season, limped out of Tuesday night’s 3-3 draw with Newport with an ankle injury.

After the game boss Mark Cooper downplayed fears he would be ruled out for the weekend, but Rovers will see how he shows up in training.

Cooper has no other injury concerns as his side aim to continue their good run of form which has seen them take 11 points from their last five games.

Notts County are still without Ross Fitzsimmons.

The goalkeeper escaped from a car crash on Monday unhurt, but he still did not travel with the squad for the 1-1 draw at Cheltenham on Tuesday.

And boss Kevin Nolan has confirmed Fitzsimmons will not be available at Forest Green.

Nolan also revealed that his goalkeeper is the only absentee.
