Yeovil have announced the signing of Birmingham’s Wes McDonald on a short-term deal and added Middlesbrough’s Alex Pattison on loan.

Birmingham winger McDonald arrives at Huish Park on a short contract, while midfielder Pattison has completed a deal for a season-long loan move from the Riverside.

Yeovil’s ninth and 10th summer signings go straight into contention for selection for Saturday’s Sky Bet League Two opener at Bury.

Now 21, McDonald joined Birmingham aged 16 after progressing through the junior ranks at Crystal Palace and Fulham.

Darlington-born 20-year-old Pattison joined Boro aged nine, and spent the second half of last season on loan at York.
