Gray content with recent form

Leicester winger Demarai Gray insists he is willing to put his body on the line for the club after impressing in recent weeks.

The youngster was the hero last weekend as he scored the only goal in the club's 1-0 win over Burnley at the King Power Stadium.

Gray needed treatment after colliding with the post during his goal but he managed to battle on and help his team over the line.

Saturday's win helped Leicester win their second game in a week under boss Claude Puel, but Gray's displays have caught the eye in recent weeks.

The former Birmingham player admits he will do all he can to help the club as he tries to improve his game.

He told Leicester Mercury: "I kind of knew I was going to go flying into the post but you take that any day to score a goal. I put my body on the line but most importantly it was about trying to get the points – and we did that.

"Yes, I think that's most important – that's what makes the difference and you saw that with the scrappy goal I scored in this game. They all count and I’m just happy to be contributing to the team.

"Yes, I’m happy to be in the team and contributing. Saturday was a good day and hopefully I can carry on."
