Leicester sweating over Mendy fitness

Leicester City midfielder Nampalys Mendy is facing a race against time to be fit for Saturday's trip to West Ham United.

Mendy, who joined the Premier League champions last summer, picked up a knock in the 2-0 Champions League last-16 second-leg victory over Sevilla at the King Power Stadium on Tuesday.
The former France Under-21 international has had a light training session and manager Craig Shakespeare has confirmed the midfielder will continue to be assessed.
"Everyone is okay," he told the media on Thursday. "Papy Mendy trained partly today and we will assess him again tomorrow to see if he can take more part in the training session."
Leicester will be without January signing Molla Wague after the defender was ruled out of action for the remainder of the season with a dislocated shoulder.
The 26-year-old, who joined on loan from Udinese until the end of the campaign, is now unlikely to get a permanent move to England after making just one appearance - in the FA Cup defeat at Millwall.
Provisional squad: Schmeichel, Hamer, Zieler, Simpson, Huth, Morgan, Wasilewski, Chilwell, Fuchs, King, Mendy, Drinkwater, Amartey, Ndidi, Mahrez, Gray, Albrighton, Kapustka, Musa, Vardy, Okazaki, Ulloa, Slimani.
