Musa opens up about why Hull move didn't happen

Ahmed Musa is always in touch with 'father figure' Leonid Slutsky but a move to Hull is a problem while they are in the Championship.

The Leicester City striker, who has been out of favour at the King Power Stadium for much of 2017, has an excellent relationship with Tigers boss, who was his former mentor at CSKA Moscow.

The Nigerian international remains in touch with Slutsky and would consider the possibility of playing under the Russian again in the future.

"Slutsky for me is a father," Musa told sport-express.ru.

"And we are always in touch, we communicate warmly. This coach has always helped me to feel confident, to believe in my strength.

"And he really calls me to Hull City. I just can not physically tell him No. Perhaps in the near future again I will play for his team.

"The problem is Hull is in the Championship. It is for this reason that it's hard for me to decide."
