PSG hopeful of Dembele deal
PSG have reportedly confirmed their interest in signing Barcelona winger Ousmane Dembele, who could reunite with Thomas Tuchel.
Tuchel managed Dembele for a year when the pair were at Borussia Dortmund, and it was under the German’s coaching that the 21-year-old developed into one of the most promising talents in Europe.
He was duly signed by Barcelona last summer but his first season at the Nou Camp was blighted by injury problems, and the recent addition of Malcom from Bordeaux could push him down the pecking order.
Now PSG Sporting Director Antero Henrique has reportedly opened talks with the Spanish club to negotiate a transfer, and tempt the World Cup winner to play alongside countryman Kylian Mbappe as well as the world’s most expensive footballer in Neymar.
However, they may have some more convincing to do to coax the winger to sign as he has recently stated he would like to stay and fight for his place in the Barcelona team.
Responding to fellow users on Twitch, a live streaming video platform, about what the future holds, Dembele said: “I’m staying at Barcelona, I’m ready to play the Super Cup.”
