Firmino pledges Reds future

Roberto Firmino insists he is 'very happy' at Liverpool and says it is a huge privelage to play for the club and live in the city.

At a time when fellow Brazilian Philippe Coutinho continues to be linked with a move to Barcelona, Reds fans will be pleased to hear that Firmino has no intention of moving on and could not be happier at Anfield.

Firmino has been a revelation since arriving at the club in a £29million deal from Bundesliga side Hoffenheim in 2015, and by the way he is talking, he plans to hang around for many more seasons yet.

“I’m very happy and it’s very gratifying coming to a huge club like Liverpool and living in this lovely city,” Firmino told reports. “The supporters are fantastic.

"I’ve never had problems with them and I hope that carries on for the rest of my time here.”

Firmino has scored 24 goals in 76 appearances for the Reds, form that has no doubt caught the eye of one or two rival clubs, but the Brazilian seems more than happy where he is.
